Classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. every week during the public school term (ordinarily 10 weeks per term). The main exception to this is when I have a parent-teacher interview evening at school, or when there is a public holiday. In those instances parents will be notified at the beginning of term and will not be charged for those days.
The cost for a normal school term is $650, which covers the ten 90 minutes sessions and additional support as required. During class, students work through workbooks which cost $35 for each book.
Missed lessons are not able to be refunded, however students will be credited with a make-up lesson which they can use by attending the session running on the other afternoon or during one of the extra school-holiday lessons. There is no expiry to the make-up lessons while the student is enrolled in Falcon Maths; they can be carried onto subsequent terms or even years. If your child is ill, it is best for everyone if they stay home and rest and come to a make-up lesson when they are feeling better.
Please note that make-up lessons cannot be used as credit to reduce the tuition fees of subsequent terms and are only valid while a student is enrolled in Falcon Maths. As a result, it is not possible to use up outstanding make-up lessons after your child has ceased enrollment. Please try to use up the outstanding make-up lessons by attending additional classes prior to when you anticipate your child will be completing their studies.
Invoices are issued at the beginning of term and cover all costs for the term. Invoices are payable via internet transfer and are due 14 days from the date of issue. Payment via PayID is preferred as it is more secure and less susceptible to scamming, however payment via tradition bank transfer (BSB and account number) is also available.
Should a student not be able to attend a session, they will be credited with a make-up lesson that they can use by attending the session running on the other afternoon or during the school holiday. It is also possible to do a make-up lesson in advance if it is known that a student will not be able to attend a session during the term (i.e. finishing school early to go on holidays, attending speech night etc.).
There are ten desks in the room, and classes are capped at 8 students per class. That means that there are always two desks available for students wishing to do make-up classes, or even come in for an addition class if they have an upcoming exam/assignment. Depending on the time of term, those two spare desks can fill up quickly. As a result, if you do wish for your child to come in for a make-up class, can you please let me know in advance so I can reserve one of the desks for them.
